About Connect(or)

Built by Researchers Who Lived the Problem

Connect(or) didn't start in a boardroom. It started in the frustrating reality of interdisciplinary research — where brilliant people with complementary expertise never find each other, and where the language of one discipline is noise to another.

Origin Story

From Hackateams to Connect(or)

The Problem We Lived

The Connect(or) team has spent years working at the intersection of disciplines — in research labs, innovation programs, and cross-institutional collaborations. The recurring frustration was always the same: the right people existed, but the infrastructure to find them, translate between them, and assemble them into effective teams did not.

Hackateams: The Proof of Concept

Hackateams was the award-winning predecessor concept — a structured methodology for interdisciplinary team formation developed through years of applied research and practice. It demonstrated that intentional, research-grounded team assembly produces measurably better outcomes than proximity-based or accident-based team formation. Connect(or) is the platform that scales and systematizes what Hackateams proved.

Research to Impact LLC

Research to Impact LLC was formed to support the future development and commercialization of Connect(or) and related innovations. The company exists at the boundary between academic research and real-world impact — translating rigorous research into tools that institutions can actually use.

USF I-Corps and Provisional Patent

In Fall 2026, Connect(or) was selected for the University of South Florida's Cybersecurity/AI I-Corps cohort — a competitive program that validates commercial potential and supports customer-discovery work. The Connect(or) approach is also protected through a provisional patent application filed under the University of South Florida.

Mission

Why This Matters

The most important problems facing society — climate, health, equity, security — cannot be solved within a single discipline. They require teams that span boundaries, translate between vocabularies, and combine expertise in ways that no single institution can assemble alone. Connect(or) exists to make that possible.

Rigor

Every design decision is grounded in research. We don't build on intuition when evidence exists.

Humility

AI augments human judgment — it doesn't replace it. We build tools that make people more capable, not tools that make people redundant.

Equity

Better team formation should expand opportunity, not concentrate it. We design for inclusion from the start.

Transparency

We are honest about what Connect(or) is, what it isn't, and where we are in the development process.

The Team

Who We Are

Connect(or) is built by a small, focused team with deep roots in research, organizational psychology, and technology. We are actively growing — if you share our mission, we want to hear from you.

Founder

Dr. Noémi Nagy

Founder, Connect(or) and Research to Impact LLC

Dr. Noémi Nagy is the founder of Connect(or), an AI-powered collaboration intelligence platform designed to transform how organizations discover expertise, translate complex challenges, and assemble high-performing interdisciplinary teams.

An organizational psychologist, technology inventor, and entrepreneurship scholar, Dr. Nagy brings a rare combination of scientific expertise, institutional insight, and commercial vision. Her work spans team formation, workforce systems, platform business models, entrepreneurship, and human-centered AI. Her peer-reviewed research includes a recent study examining how technology-platform companies achieve rapid growth, giving her both a scholarly and practical understanding of how innovative platforms create value and scale.

Dr. Nagy is an Assistant Professor of Career and Technical/Workforce Education and Affiliate Professor of Entrepreneurship at the University of South Florida. She has built her career across universities, startups, employers, and innovation ecosystems in the United States and Europe — giving her firsthand understanding of the costly "Babel problem" Connect(or) addresses.

She is commercializing Connect(or) through Research to Impact LLC. Under her leadership, the concept has progressed from an award-winning prototype to a formal invention disclosure, provisional patent filing, and selection for USF's Fall 2026 Cybersecurity/AI I-Corps cohort.
